History

1935 Mar. Established Toyomori Kogyo Limited Partnership at 4-10, Umayabashi, Honjo Ward, Tokyo, and began manufacturing metal gears.
1936 Jun. New factory built in Oharacho, Itabashi-ku, Tokyo and relocated.
1937 Apr. Converted to manufacturing polished nuts and manufactured polished nuts for aircraft for wartime demand.
1946 Apr. With the end of the war, switched to the manufacture of polished nuts for bicycles, agricultural machinery, and communication equipment.
1950 Mar. Started business with Honda Motor Co., Ltd. for motorcycle nuts and special screw parts (established in 1948) with the opening of its Tokyo Plant (Kami-Jujo).
1962 May. Established Toyo Seiki Kogyo Co., Ltd. with capital of 6 million yen.
1966 Oct. Toyo Seiki Kogyo Co., Ltd. absorbs Toyo Seiki Kogyo Limited Partnership with capital of 12.5 million yen.
1974 Nov. Capital increased to 20 million yen.
1977 May. Developed plastic working technology for pipe materials based on proprietary know-how and entered into manufacturing and sales of pipe products.
1980 Mar. Pipe working (horizontal hydraulic press) is introduced to expand production capacity.
1982 Nov. Capital increased to 28 million yen.
1983 Feb. Increased capital to 48 million yen and built the Shin-Shirakawa Plant in Nishigo-mura, Nishi-Shirakawa-gun, Fukushima Prefecture.
1985 Nov. Ceremony held to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the company’s founding.
1986 Jan. Built a new administration building at the Shin-Shirakawa Plant
Oct. Increased capital to 80 million yen and reconstructed the main factory and product management building.
1987 Nov. Building was added to the Shin-Shirakawa Plant and a precision parts processing line was installed.
1994 Oct. Developed “Guaranteed Screw Right Angle Nut” and started production after verification testing.
Dec. Nikkei Mechanical (now Nikkei Monozukuri) introduces the nut as “Japan’s world’s best.
1997 Sept. Patent application filed for the manufacturing method of the same nut as “manufacturing equipment for high precision density nuts”.
1999 Oct. Shin-Shirakawa Plant ISO9002 certification obtained from P.J.R.
2000 Dec. Main Factory ISO9002 certification obtained from P.J.R.
2002 Apr. Shin-Shirakawa Plant Completed upgrade from ISO 9002 to 9001
May. Installed two NC benders with robots at Shin-Shirakawa Plant
2003 Nov. Acquired ISO14001 company-wide
Dec. Main Plant Completed upgrade from ISO 9002 to 9001 and integrated certification of the Head Office and Shin-Shirakawa Plant.
2005 Feb. Held ceremony to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the company’s founding.
Apr. Completed construction of new main plant
Aug. Complete relocation of the former Itabashi head office and factory to the new head office and factory (Sakado City, Saitama Prefecture), which was completed in April.
2007 Jan. Established a new complex process of rolling machine and bender with robot at the head office plant.
2009 May. Certificate of Appreciation from Saitama Prefecture as an internship promotion project host company.
2010 Mar. NC vendor with robot installed at Shin-Shirakawa Plant relocated to Head Office Plant
Aug. Joined Japan Auto Parts Industries Association
Sept. Designated as “Sainokuni Designated Factory” by Saitama Prefecture
2012 Jun. Installed a press with a robot at the head office plant to automate the pressing process (our first).
2015 Mar. Celebrated the 80th anniversary of the company’s founding.
2016 Sept. Completion of ISO 9001 and 14001 certification to the 2015 version
2018 Jul. Introduction of 3D printer (for resin)
Sept. Video conferencing system introduced between headquarters and Shin-Shirakawa Plant.
2019 Jul. Started business with Mitsubishi Electric Corporation.
2020 Apr. Construction of a new building for the Shin-Shirakawa Plant begins.
Oct. Recognized by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry as a “Regional Future Leading Company
2021 Apr. Phase I construction of the new Shirakawa Plant building completed; moved from the old building
Apr. Began doing business with Hitachi Astemo, Ltd.
2022 Sept. Phase II construction of the new Shin-Shirakawa Plant building completed New Shin-Shirakawa Plant completed
